Carla Araujo Coelho

Co-founder & Strategic and pedagogical director

Carla Coelho brings over a decade of experience helping international humanitarian organisations make better decisions with data. Her work has ranged from leading innovative analytical projects on missing persons at the ICRC to supporting the Red Cross Movement during the 2022 cyberattack — experiences that exposed both the transformative potential and the real risks of digital technologies in sensitive contexts.

Today, she helps international solidarity organisations adopt AI in ways that strengthen, not compromise, their mission: combining innovation with governance, operational excellence with ethics. She believes the humanitarian sector has a unique contribution to make to responsible AI because its culture of do no harm, accountability and protection has never been more relevant.

Within the collective, the main message she carries is: humanitarian organisations should not only benefit from AI, but also shape what responsible AI looks like.

Thomas Bazeille

Co-founder & AI expert

Thomas has been with the collective from its very first days. Holding a PhD in artificial intelligence (INRIA), he brings a rare dual mastery to the training world: that of the researcher who has worked at the heart of AI architectures — their mathematical foundations, structural biases, theoretical limits — and that of the practitioner who can make these challenges concrete, accessible and useful for non-specialists.

His doctoral work, conducted at INRIA Paris, focused on machine learning and cognitive systems. He then put this conceptual rigour to work on creative projects: co-founder of DIVIN Audio, he developed intelligent tools that amplify musicians' creativity without replacing it. This philosophy — augmenting without substituting, equipping without dehumanising — runs through his contribution to the collective.

In our courses, Thomas is the person who enables participants not merely to use AI, but to understand what they are doing: how a language model actually works, why it hallucinates, where biases come from, when to trust it and when to be sceptical. An epistemic posture that only a high-level researcher can convey with this precision.

Mathieu Barbaud

Expert in collective intelligence & organisational transition

Mathieu's career is that of an engineer who never stopped broadening his understanding of systems — from technical systems to human ones. A graduate of INSA Lyon with an MBA from Sciences Po Paris, he has led large-scale projects in technical management, CSR (Bouygues group), and the development of third-places and open-innovation spaces, before devoting himself to what truly drives him: supporting collectives through transformation.

Trained for more than ten years in systemic approaches, design thinking and collective intelligence methods, he is an expert in the art of mobilising a group to reveal its best potential — and to move to action. In our courses, he creates the conditions for teams not to be subjected to AI-driven change, but to learn to steer it: methodically, with discernment and a balanced assessment of risks.

He also brings valuable expertise on the environmental challenges of digital technology — a dimension too often absent from AI training, yet central for organisations committed to sustainability.

Luana de Oliveira

IT project manager & digital solutions development

An engineer by training, Luana specialised in software development, data engineering and artificial intelligence project management. She combines technical skills with a project-level vision to design and implement digital solutions tailored to users' needs.

She notably developed an automated monitoring and alert system for booking appointments at French prefecture offices, offering a concrete response to the difficulties faced by people going through administrative regularisation.

Within the collective, she leads digital projects, from needs analysis and technical choices through to the development, integration and deployment of solutions. She also helps structure the collective's technical environment and collaborative tools.
